You can request to delete your Tin Can account associated with our site, service and mobile apps at any time by emailing support@tincan.kids and including "Account Deletion Request" as the subject line. This includes data related to our mobile app on the Play Store, where our developer name is TinCan.

In this email, you may also request, simultaneously, to be removed from marketing emails or sms messages.

We will process your request within 5 business days and will notify you via email once the deletion is complete.

When your account deletion is processed, we will delete:

  • Any stored payment information
  • Any stored voice recordings (such as voicemail messages you have saved)
  • Your login credentials to log into and use our mobile apps
  • Your address(es) you have provided (such as billing or shipping addresses), with the potential exception of the 911 Registered Address
  • Any contacts you have added or uploaded to your Tin Can account
  • Your Tin Can device contact information, such as the extension number(s) or external phone number(s) associated with your Tin Can device(s)
  • Other metadata related to your Tin Can device (e.g. firmware version, device status)

Information that we will retain:

  • Tin Can device usage statistics (including metadata such as call times, durations, and device interactions, but excluding call content or stored voicemails): We retain identifiable usage statistics for up to 12 months primarily for technical support, troubleshooting, service improvement, and performance analysis. This period is extended only if legally mandated. Thereafter, usage data is retained only in an anonymized or aggregated form for statistical purposes.
  • Your order history: This information is retained for a legally required period to comply with financial record-keeping obligations (such as tax laws and accounting requirements) and to manage potential disputes, chargebacks, refunds, or warranty claims related to your purchases.
  • Your contact information (name and email): This information is retained solely as necessary in direct association with your order history to comply with our legal and financial record-keeping obligations (as detailed previously regarding order history). It is not used for any other purpose, such as marketing, after your account deletion request is processed.
  • The 911 Registered Address associated with an active or recently deactivated Party Line Plan may be retained beyond account deletion if required by E911 regulations or other applicable laws.
